Personal, professional and future poster task

So, for this task i had to create three posters that attribute the three themes in the post title to myself, and represent them.

Personal

Yeah, i feel as though i'm quite the cynic, super opinionated, question everything, regardless of wether or not those opinions may be contrary or somehow offend others. I kinda used the word "cunt" for shock value, language intrigues me and most interesting of all being the word in question, it offends so many but i honestly cant understand why. It was actually somewhat successful, the group of people i sat with commented on how it was their favourite of the collection because of the word, where another group commented on how "nobody likes the word Cunt", super interesting. There are words that i understand why they offend and have horrible connotations, but cunts just cunt, like dick is just dick, both slang words for different genitals, but both gain different reactions, i wonder if i wrote "Cynical dick" would it have garnered a different response? Anyhoo, outside of little experimentations, i also like to draw and other stuff, so it was only fair i included these facts. I used red because i have a very red personality...

Professional

So its probably clear that i was quite cagey with the last image, whereas this image is more involved. I absolutely despise having to pinpoint myself as a person, it seems quite fruitless because you are who you are, dissecting yourself doesn't change a thing, and be too positive about yourself you come across as an arse that thinks they're a special snowflake (bloody hell theres that cynicism). But being self aware of your professional values is something i see value in, you've got to be able to paint yourself in a useful manner to your client, because telling a person in a job interview that you want the job purely for the money probably wont go down too smooth. Outside of the character you paint to clients of yourself, looking at your professional practice is crucial to ensure that you are both working in the optimal manner,  and creating the right work for the right reasons. It also helps that approaching this subject allows me to talk about my practice, which is also my passion, sure a collection of isolated words cant really convey this, but it gave me more of a reason to care about this outcome. The image itself i'm quite happy with, a self portrait covered in typography that connotes my professional values. The contrasting tones of blue and orange make the image quite striking.

Future

Another cagy one honestly, i don't wish to pigeon hole myself in terms of my plans for the future, i don't have to decide that i solely want to be a comic artist or editorial artist, for all i know i could become involved in both , or fail miserably and not have the opportunity to make a living off either. Anything can happen, so don't be so eager to cut all ties to separate career paths, because life will probably be more fun with an open mindset for your possibilities.
