Holiday creations

First day back, big crit. We got the opportunity to see what everyones been up to in level 5 - 6. From this we were asked to take some pictures of what excited us and speak about the works.

This work grabbed my eye straight away, its a really interesting bit of line work, lots going on but it somehow maintains a balance. Because the image is of what I assume is a cocktail, it is screaming for some colour, and that potential is what really excites me about this drawing.

Theres a weird humour to using well rendered, realism, to draw a goofy image like this. This one impressed me on a technical level, and because of that maid its humour that bit more effective.

Im a sucker for princess mononoke, the film this work illustrates. Not only that, but it has had a clearly interesting process behind its creation, mixing biro and pencil crayon. Rounded all together with a unusual, fun and vibrant colour scheme.

Kierans skateboards blew my socks off. They seem so professional and ready to sell. Its really interesting to see artwork used for application like this, and to see his voice develop like this. Its the kind of boards to get the rest of the park jealous of.
