-Laura is really interested in the causality of youth, what forms us and why we make the work we do because of these events, because of this she feels that teaching kids that there is a way to make images is wrong
- Finds personal identity to be an important part of illustration, working on what she finds funny, visually engaging etc..
-Find a truthful friend that will tell you when you're slipping in standards.
-created zines whilst traveling as a means of discovering her tone of voice, quite an ironic parallel with my practice in 603 currently.
- She openly admits to being poor at maintaining social media, stating that it isn't for her. She also was certain that lacking a presence in this way has lost her work and opportunities.
