I literally cant believe it, not long after having the chance to use the Rift, an animation student brought in their HTC vive (god bless them) and I got the chance to play around with that. This is the main competitor to oculus, and currently has quite a bit more to offer with controls that track your hand movements.
We started by testing a VR experience she had made herself, and it was great, I hope i get the chance to see some of her future work. It was especially fun to see others react to what she had made. We also got the chance to try tilt brush, a 3D painting application made for VR. This was something else, Ive not felt so inspired for the longest time, as soon as i had to take the headset off, my mind was abuzz with ideas.
